Many retailers offer big discounts and savings as this day is seen as the start of the Christmas shopping period.
More recently, stores have started both online and in store Black Friday sales with some starting in the lead up to Black Friday.
Many stores that offer Black Friday discounts with additional discounts running into the following Monday which is also known as Cyber Monday.
With its big discounts and savings, it’s a great time to stock up on Christmas gifts as many retailers offer some of their biggest discounts at this time.
A lot of people will research which brands are having a Black Friday sale each year so that they know which shops and websites to visit first.
That’s why we’ve put together this handy guide to help you get the most out of this year’s sales and discounts.
What deals are available to NHS staff on Black Friday?
Some retailers will announce a number of the deals available in advance, although many won’t be announced until the Black Friday sales go live.
This means that we can’t be certain which discounts will be available until the day.
As with other discount codes, NHS specific discount codes typically can’t be used with other discounts and promotions.
However, we do recommend checking the terms of conditions of each discount code as each discount is different.
Black Friday discounts and sales tend to offer bigger savings and discounts. Just be aware that Black Friday discounts are only available for a limited time so act fast if you find a discount you like.
When does Black Friday end?
The sales for Black Friday vary from retailer to retailer.
For some retailers, Black Friday discounts might start up to a week before and end on the end of the day on Black Friday.
Whereas other Black Friday sales might start on Black Friday and continue over the weekend.
Cyber Monday falls on the following Monday so a number of retailers will run promotions and discounts for both Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
For many retailers, it’s safe to assume that the Black Friday and Cyber Monday discounts and sales will run for at least Friday morning until the end of Monday.
For individual retailers, we recommend checking websites and social media pages.
Amazon Black Friday deals
Amazon Black Friday deals typically start a week before Black Friday. Although some of the best discounts will become available closer to Black Friday.
The best discounts tend to sell out quickly so be sure to act fast if you spot a great discount.
Although we can’t guarantee what items will be on sale this Black Friday with Amazon, we can use last year’s sale to get a better idea on the discounts we can expect.
Last year Black Friday saw a range of discounts from top brands including Amazon, Dyson, Shark, Apple and many more.
You can expect to find Amazon products such as the Echo Dot, Fire Tablet, Kindle and the Ring Doorbell on sale this Black Friday.
Last year, Amazon’s Black Friday sale included big discounts on a range of top products.
These discounts included savings on an Apple Watch, iPhone 12, Nintendo Switch and a Shark cordless handheld.

When is John Lewis’s Black Friday 2022 sale?
The John Lewis NHS discounts sale starts in the morning of Friday 25 November.
Unlike other retailers, John Lewis does not typically have Black Friday related sales prior to Black Friday.
John Lewis also takes part in the following Cyber Monday. This means that the John Lewis Black Friday sale is going to take place between Friday 25th November and Monday 28th November.
We recommend making sure that you are signed up to the John Lewis newsletter before this date so that you will be one of the first to find out when the sale starts.
You’ll also be one of the first to see what discounts and savings are available across John Lewis.
When is the Nike Black Friday sale?
The Nike NHS Black Friday sale is starting on November 25th in the UK and running through Cyber Monday, shoppers can expect discounts on a range of Nike products.
Plus, with Black Friday and Cyber Monday both being part of the sale, there will be plenty of opportunities to grab those must-have items at a fraction of their regular price.
When is EE Black Friday 2022?
EE is one of the retailers that start it’s Black Friday sale early.
Based on previous years, we expect the first Black Friday deals from EE to start around a week before.
So we highly recommend keeping an eye on the EE website from Friday the 18th November until Black Friday on the 25th of November.
In previous years, the EE NHS Black Friday sale has included discounts on monthly phone bills on popular phones including iPhone 13 and Samsung Galaxy S21.
Previously, the EE Black Friday sale has also included discounts on SIM-only plans.
The EE Black Friday sale is the perfect place to look if you are looking to upgrade your phone.
How long is Pandora Black Friday sale on for?
Just like with other retailers, the Pandora NHS Black Friday sale is due to take place in the UK from Friday the 25th November to Monday the 28th November.

Previous years saw a range of offers including up to 30% on selected jewellry.
The biggest discounts could be found on gift sets with up to £45 off selected gifts sets. This makes it the perfect place to treat yourself or someone you love in time for Christmas.
When is Black Friday 2022 with Pretty Little Thing?
The 2022 Black Friday event with Pretty Little Thing is likely to start on Black Friday on the 25th November.
This is likely to run until Cyber Monday on the 28th November.
In previous years, Pretty Little Things have offers a whooping up to 100% discount on their items.
This means that you could bag selected sale items for free. We anticipate a lot of people will be trying to shop the Pretty Little Thing sale this Black Friday so be sure to visit the website as soon as possible on the 25th so that you don’t miss out.

The 2022 Apple Black Friday NHS sale is expected to kick off on November 25th and run through Cyber Monday on the 28th.

Not only can you score deals on the official Apple website, but it’s also worth checking out other retailers like EE and Amazon for deals on Apple products.
Black Friday can be a great way to snag a bargain on some of your favourite Apple products.
When does Asda Black Friday sale start?
ASDA’s Black Friday sale starts on Friday the 25th of November at 8am. The ASDA NHS Black Friday sale is available both online and in store.
So you can either visit your local store to look around all the discounted items or shop the sale from the comfort of your own home.
Last year, the ASDA Black Friday sale saw big discounts from top brands such as Lego and home appliances. Big savings on ASDA’s own brand home wear and George clothing were also available.
This year you can expect big savings on home wear, clothing and toys.
