Unfortunately, Morrisons have temporarily stopped selling their food boxes that contained ingredients for different meals.
The Morrisons Food Boxes used to work like a meal subscription service. Each Morrisons Food Box used to have everything you needed to cook a number of different meals. For example, their Family Recipe Box had everything you would need to cook 5 different evening meals for a family of 4 for only £30. These boxes were a great way to save money and took the guesswork off of meal planning.

What are the Morrisons Food Boxes for Christmas?
In previous years Morrisons have offered Food Boxes during the Christmas period. These Christmas Food Boxes contained everything you needed to cook a tasty Christmas dinner. These boxes contained a range of ingredients including; turkey, goose fat potatoes, gravy, carrots, stuffing balls, mince pies and even a yule log. The Christmas Dinner Box cost £50 and contained 18 different items for a dinner with all the trimmings, sides and even dessert.

Morrisons have introduced pre-packed food bags of groceries that are needed by local food banks. This is because many food banks end up with a surplus of goods like pasta and rice but lack other necessary items.
These pre-packed bags can be picked up in store while shopping and when you pay for it at the till, it’ll be put aside ready to be collected by a local food bank volunteer.
How do I get a Morrisons Food Box?
Currently, Morrisons Food Boxes are only available through the Food To Order section of the Morrisons website.
On the Food To Order section, you can browse all of the currently available food boxes. Then once you have decided on a food box, you can log in and choose a store to collect your order from. You;ll then be able to order your food box(es), pay a deposit and just visit your chosen store at your chosen time and date to pay for your food and pick it up. It’s that simple!

The contents of each Morrisons Food Box vary depending on which box you choose to order.
You can expect a variety of cheeses to be included in the cheese box whereas if you opt for the continental box, you’ll receive a selection of different deli meats. Or if you choose a spicy gazing box, you’ll receive a variety of food including; onion bhajis, pakoras, vegetable samosas and a range of dips.

What do Morrisons do with out of date food?
Just like any other store, Morrisons will not sell out of date food.
There are a number of things Morrisons do to reduce the chance of food going to waste.
One of the things Morrisons does is reduce food nearing the end of it’s best before date. If you regularly shop in Morrisons, you may have noticed small sections of yellow label items around the store. Typically these sections can be found towards the ends of different isles. The food in these sections with yellow labels are reduced by varying amounts so that you can grab a bargain while also reducing the amount of food that is wasted.
Usually food gets reduced towards the end of the day so we highly recommend keeping an eye out for these bargains the next time you visit a Morrisons.

What is a Morrisons Magic Box/Bag?
A Morrisons Magic Bag is a potluck type bag filled with food either at its best before date or nearing it. Morrisons states these bags could contain various items including; fruit, veg, bread and baked goods, cakes, deli and cupboard items. However, you won’t know what’s in your bag until you pick it up.
Each bag currently costs around £3 so is a brilliant way to stock up on some food while still getting a great bargain. Even though some food may be at the end of its best before date, everything in the bag is still perfectly safe to eat.
How do I get a Morrisons Magic Box/Bag?
Morrisons Magic Bags are currently available through the Food To Go app.
To buy a Morrisons Magic Bag, simply download the app on either the App Store or Play Store. Then you’ll either need to create an account or log in if you already have a Food To Go account.
Once you are logged in, you simply need to check your search radius is set to as far as you are happy about travelling to a Morrisons store. Then just search for Morrisons and check for any listings.
If a Magic Bag is available you will be able to reserve yours. Otherwise you can check what time the Magics Bags typically become available and make a note of this time. Then simply check back at that time the next day.
