The series is an American series based on the book using the same title.
The lead character Piper Chapman is a public relations executive whose part catches up to her in her mid-30s, leading her to spent time in a minimum-security women’s prison.
The series focuses on a range of characters, sharing stories of their past life (before prison) and current life.
The drama brings attention to affect of corruption, drug smuggling, overcrowding and guard brutality on the prisoners’ health and well-being.
The show possess scenes of a sexual nature and violence, adding to the jaw-dropping action.

Power
An American crime focusing on the story of James St. Patrick, a ruthless drug dealer under the nickname “Ghost”, whom of which wishes to leave the criminal world in order to support his business interest as a nightclub owner.
The show also features the lives of James’ wife, son, partner, love interest and rival.
With graphic scenes of violence to add to the thrill.
Peaky Blinders
An English crime drama set in the 1920s Brimingham, in the aftermath of World War I.
The show focuses on the Peaky Blinders gang, their ambitions and the highly cunning boss Tommy Shelby.
The gang is followed throughout by detective Chief Inspector Major Chester Campbell, sent over by Churchill from Belfast, to “clean up” the city of the Irish Republican Army, communists, gangs and common criminals.
Suits
An American legal drama, made famous by the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The shows focuses on college dropout Mike Ross, who beings working as a law associate for Harvey Specter, despite never actually having attended law school.
The shows portrays how Harvey and Mike manage to close cases whilst maintaining Mike’s secret.
Game of Thrones
An American fantasy drama, an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Marin.
Focuses on the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos, creating the plot of 3 primary story arcs.
The 1st centers on the Iron Throne and the Seven Kingdoms, following a net of alliances and conflicts amongst households.
The 2nd on the last descendant of the realm’s ruling air plotting a return to the throne.
The 3rd on the longstanding brotherhood charged with defending the realm against the ancient threats that lie far north, beyond the wall.
Black Mirror
A British science fiction anthology series that examines modern society, particularly the consequences of new technologies.
Each episode is unique and doesn’t relate to the last.
A lot of the episodes are a dark and satirical tone, though some are lighter.
13 Reasons Why
An American teen drama based on the novel Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher.
The series is centered around a 17 year old high school student Clay Jensen, and his decreased friend Hannah Baker, who has committed suicide after failing to cope with the culture, gossip and lack of support from her friends and her school.
Hannah left a box of cassette tapes identifying the reasons or people, that led her to suicide.
Viewers should be aware that this series contains graphic scenes of self-mutilation.
Stranger Things
An America science fiction-horror set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indianace, in the 1980s.
The 1st season centers into the disappearance of a young boy amid supernatural events occurring around the town, including the appearance of a girl with psychokinetic abilities who helps the missing boy’s friends in their own search.
Louis Theroux’s Weird Weekends
Something a little lighter.. or not..
A television documentary series, in which Louis Theroux gives viewers the chance to get brief glimpses into the worlds of individuals and groups that they wouldn’t normally come into contact with or experience up close.
Louis’ presentation is known to be a little awkward and blunt which is why viewers have found to like him.
Louis’ looks into topics such as porn, black nationalism, swingers, gangsters and body building.
