Who is Yo Sushi?
Yo! Sushi is a popular Japanese-inspired restaurant chain in the UK, best known for its conveyor belt dining experience. Established in 1997 in London, it introduced the concept of kaiten-zushi, where small plates of sushi and other Japanese dishes travel around the restaurant on a conveyor belt for diners to pick up as they please.
Over the years, the brand has expanded beyond sushi, offering a variety of hot street food, including ramen, katsu curry, and gyoza, catering to a wider audience.
The chain has grown significantly, with locations across the UK in major cities, shopping centres, and transport hubs.
While its signature conveyor belt service remains a key attraction, Yo! Sushi has also adapted to changing dining habits by introducing click & collect, takeaway, and delivery options.
Some locations now feature a more traditional table service approach alongside their conveyor belts. The brand has also introduced partnerships and kiosks within supermarkets, such as Tesco, allowing customers to enjoy its food beyond the restaurant setting.
Yo! Sushi is known for offering promotions and discounts, including deals for NHS staff and key workers through the Blue Light Card scheme. It frequently updates its menu to include vegan and vegetarian options, ensuring inclusivity for different dietary preferences.
